Summer Drawing Show presents a varied group of artists: each utilizing 'the drawn line' in their own highly personal way, each with an aesthetic instantly recognizable as their own.
Bios:
Richard McGuire is the designer and illustrator of numerous iconic covers for the New Yorker magazine. He is also a founding member of the band, Liquid Liquid
Meryl Smith's sculptures were featured in the recent Spike Jonze film, I'm Here. Her animal sculptures have also been featured as an Opening Ceremony window installation, and she was an artist in residency at Family's Thirty Days NY project
Ben Jones is a founding member of art collective, Paper Rad. His work has been exhibited at Deitch Projects, NY; Peres Projects, Berlin; Pace Wildenstein, NY; CANADA, NY; The Museum of Modern Art, NY; The New Museum of Contemporary Art, NY; Tate Britain, London. He is currently creating an animated television show for Cartoon Network
Denise Kupferschmidt's work has been exhibited at P.S 1 Gallery, NY; Monya Rowe Gallery, NY; Printed Matter, NY
Geoff McFetridge is a graphic artist and director. He has had solo exhibitions at Parco Gallery, Tokyo; and Colette, Paris. He designed the title designs for the television show, Freaks and Geeks, as well as films, The Virgin Suicides, and Where The Wild Things Are

Is It Art or Fart? collects images found on the street that happen to bear uncanny resemblances to great works of contemporary art. It began as a blog run by two friends whose obsessive preoccupation with contemporary art spilled over into the recognition of "fart" - bogus versions of art everywhere. The sightings are a funny testament to how art has changed, and show the world as one big readymade. Includes unintentional appropriations of Richard Prince, Forcefield, Doug Aitken, Louise Bourgeois, Martin Kippenberger, Mike Kelley, and the rest of your favorites! Is It Art or Fart? is designed by Brian Roettinger in the format of a Penguin Classic pocketbook
